The competition project reflects the goal to create a mixed-use combination of offices, seminary and hotel, as an urban development and architectural beacon on the E17 motorway.
After studying various possible models, it was concluded that it would be preferable for the project site to be designed based on the dominant linear presence and scale of the E17.
As a design studio, we are convinced that a logical arrangement as a strong, timeless setting is the perfect basis to create a new spine or prominent backbone along the E17 motorway, an international artery with the well-known dynamics of speed, sound and 24/7 mobility and the challenges of tomorrow that we wanted to incorporate into our design. Finally, our goal was to create a site that compels a clear-cut, consistent and well-defined integration as a distinctive ‘brow’ or ‘line mark’ on the motorway.
