With a minimum of architectural means, the design strikes a balance between a readable, open and user-friendly building in which the police operations and internal organisation are strengthened and the realisation of a building that guarantees solidity, security and vigilance. The building can be read as a clear gesture to its surroundings. It does not absorb the context but adds to it and forms the basis of a full development of the site’s wider environment. Sustainability and the development of a far-reaching energetic concept are fully interwoven with the principles of the design. The various disciplines were deployed in a supportive and cumulative manner with the sole aim of creating a pleasant (work) space for visitors and staff. A building conceived on the basis of its utility and experiential value.
