The student housing is nestled in a residential neighborhood west of Leuven city center, offering 79 rooms that combine convenient access to major campuses with a peaceful, village-like environment. The development on the corner plot consists of two all-sided volumes of three floors, which align better with the existing context in terms of volumetry rather than forming one large-scale development. The unity between both buildings is emphasized by the same grid façade architecture of light-colored brickwork with green exterior joinery and a connecting canopy that provides shelter to the entrance area.
The green canyon between the two buildings forms the heart of the complex, with a lower-level patio serving as a meeting place and connecting to a shared underground multipurpose hall and bicycle storage. A spacious seating staircase creates a link to the beautiful garden area, surrounded by large mature trees. Together with the front gardens, this ensures that both volumes are entirely enveloped by greenery, with minimal hard surfaces.
