This exclusive residential project of the same name will be located on the iconic Antwerp Graanmarkt.
As one of the most beautiful squares and places in Antwerp, the Graanmarkt is a historical top framework of highly valuable, striking buildings. From imposing neoclassical buildings to iconic gems in beaux-arts style and houses of a late medieval character.
With great respect and care for the context, this clear architecture illustrates a refined but stately integration as a central part, as a hinge between two famous, characteristic buildings such as the famous “Bourla” and “Graanmarkt 13”.
An architecture of renewed coherence and harmony, fitting into the uniform image of the Graanmarkt. An architecture of classical facade ingredients with a vertical articulation, a window rhythm with strong framing and a clear cornice termination.
An exquisite penthouse layer links the neighbouring buildings into one updated, controlled composition in sand-coloured natural stone.
“De Graanmarkt” exudes historical class and impressive buildings. This project tries to reconcile in this and make architectural diversity understood. It is a privilege to witness this on a daily basis. To be able to live here is very unique!
