The atypical building block of the MuHKA in Antwerp Zuid has limited residential space for three buildings being a triangular terrain. These will all be transformed into a contemporary corner accent with the integration of a Neo-Baroque historical heritage building. The prominent location with generous views of the Scheldt forms the basis for exclusive living by the water, with a gallery or similar concepts as a pedestal and a triplex penthouse as the crown. The stacked layers in between are arranged like an articulated play on the façade and pivotal building between the Wapenstraat and Cockerillkaai. This new end building on the MuHKA aims to reinforce this site as an iconic addition to a series of striking transformations on the quays of the Scheldt.
